From the Pastor,

The Hemlock trees and the Balsam tree have been removed from the hill between the old church and the rectory. The White Oak tree on the hill and the Red Oak tree (that was struck by lightening) on the opposite side of the rectory will be removed next week because they are not in good health. The wood from the oak trees will be sold to help pay for their removal. We plan to eventually remove the dirt from the hill between the old church and the rectory to provide level ground for a courtyard and parish gathering space. The Haywood County Youth has taken up residence in the old church. That area will also be used for faith formation. The 1st Annual St. John’s Golf Tournament is scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon, June 21st at the Lake Junaluska Golf Course. It is not too soon to begin forming your four– person team for this Captain’s Choice tournament with a cookout to follow.

Sincerely Yours in Christ,
~ Fr. Lawrence M. LoMonaco ~

WE NEED YOUR HELP! The food pantry is in desperate need of donations. Please bring items to Mass or drop them off at the office. People will go hungry if we do not provide for their needs. We need YOU to help. Please do not rely on someone else to do it. We need your support!
