Lectors Ministry |

Lectors are individuals who boldly and effectively proclaim God’s Word and share the good news of His saving love within the context of liturgical worship at St. John and Immaculate Conception. Volunteers read assigned readings at weekend liturgies, daily Mass, and other special liturgical celebrations. Lectors must be outgoing, friendly, and be good readers and communicators with a strong voice. They must have received Confirmation, be in good standing with the Catholic church, and be registered members of the parish. An audition, training, and approval of the Pastor are necessary. |

Ushers/Greeters Ministry |
|
This group is designed to assist those attending worship services. They greet parishioners on arrival at Mass, seat them as occasions arise, assist all disabled persons, take up collections, direct parishioners at communion time, arrange for individuals or families to bring up the gifts during the Offertory, and distribute special literature and bulletins at the end of Mass. In addition, they check the church after services to be sure everything is in order. Serving as an usher is a privilege and a great assistance to the church community. All parishioners are invited to participate |
